Nursing in Practice London 2017 Press release

“The experience of the event was very useful for my career. It was a good experience to meet different nurses and share our knowledge.”

Last week, over 650 primary care nurses came together for the 2017 Nursing in Practice London conference, which took place at the Olympia Conference Centre. Here our nurses were able to network and learn in a relaxed environment, and gain the latest insight and clinical updates.

For the first time in its history, the London conference hosted training sessions which covered basic life support, anaphylaxis and AED. The programme was split into four separate streams, each covering a key clinical area, and with 20 sessions to choose from our nurses left with valuable knowledge to meet the statutory requirements of patient experience.

Have a look at what our delegates had to say:

“I always attend Nursing in Practice every year. It’s an important meeting where I can update myself. Educational and good place to meet colleagues.”

“Lots of relevant information, which was very useful for my continuing professional development. Definitely recommend.”

Now in their 14th year, Nursing in Practice events are free to attend and are designed to support nurses in gaining participatory learning hours, building their knowledge, and helping them stay at the cutting edge of the latest treatments and guidance.

The event offered in-depth, cutting-edge seminars, interactive demonstrations and an educational programme that focused on key areas that are a priority for practices. There are three more events for the rest of 2017: Bournemouth on 31st October, Birmingham on 7th November, and finally we finish in Cardiff on 23rd November.

More information can be found at

The Nursing in Practice events are also conscious of bringing together the nursing community with other key stakeholders from the healthcare industry, with the event also offering an exhibition alongside the conference.

Leading pharmaceutical companies, charitable organisations and innovative providers were able to discuss the latest cutting-edge medications and showcase their products to the attendees.
