Nursing in Practice Manchester 2017 Press release

“The conference was organised in a professional manner which I was extremely impressed with.
The speakers on the day were highly knowledgeable and had a passion for the work they were involved in.”

On 6th June Nursing in Practice returned to Manchester to provide local primary care and community nurses with the opportunity to learn new skills in a variety of clinical topics.

This year’s agenda included two streams of sessions each covering a key clinical area. With over 10 sessions to choose from our nurses left with valuable knowledge and spent time discovering the innovations to support their practice in our exhibition space.

Other highlights included:

  • A comical session from Elaine Miller, Pelvic Physiotherapist and Comedian – she explored the incidence of incontinence and its impact on women’s lives.
  • Interactive case studies which addressed the common management considerations and treatment options when dealing with type 2 diabetes.
  • A session on the big topic sepsis and how nurses can take action on it.

We have already had fantastic feedback from the event attendees:

“A really inspirational day! Good subjects covered, brilliant venue and had
time to network and reflect on practices.”

“The event was packed with informative sessions. I enjoyed the session on CVD and Diabetes. The exhibition stands were equally amazing.”

We have a further six events taking place in 2017 at the following locations:

  • Nursing in Practice North East – 22nd June
  • Nursing in Practice Yorkshire – 19th September

Nursing in Practice events are conscious of bringing together the nursing community with key stakeholders from across the healthcare industry, with the event also offering an exhibition alongside the conference.

Leading pharmaceutical companies, charitable organisations and innovative providers were able to discuss the latest cutting-edge medications and showcase their products to the attendees.

Now in their 14th year, Nursing in Practice events are free-to-attend and are designed to support nurses in gaining participatory learning hours, building their knowledge, and helping them stay at the cutting-edge of the latest treatments and guidance.
