Nursing in Practice Scotland will be held at SECC Glasgow (Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre)
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is a 45 minute drive by direct motorway link from the SECC. Glasgow’s international airport is a 15 minute drive from the SECC, and provides direct access to and from major European and North American cities. The city sits on the nation-wide transport system with fast rail and road access to all the UK’s principal cities.
Situated just off juntion 19 of the M8 motorway, the SECC is within five minutes drive of the city centre and 15 minutes from Glasgow International Airport. SECC has its own railway station and bus terminal linking with Glasgow’s excellent public transport system.
The multi-storey car park (MSCP) at the SECC, operated by City Parking (Glasgow) LLP, is the main parking area used for events at the venue. This facility is located at 10 Stobcross Road, Glasgow, G3 8YW.
On-site pay machines are located on level 2 (walkway level) and ground floor main foyer of the car park. Payment can be made by cash or credit/debit card.
Parking is available at the SECC as is chargeable at £8 for the day.
Visitors can either pre-pay after arrival or pay before exiting.
Train journeys from Glasgow to the SECC are even easier now with the help of Scotrail, leaving around every 10 minutes from Glasgow Central Station (platform 17 lower level) for an off peak return of £1.25.
The Exhibition Centre station is the SECC’s own dedicated railway station allowing easy access from the city centre and the suburbs. Six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Central station (Platform 17 is on the lower level) will bring you to Exhibition Centre station in a journey time of just three minutes.
The 100 Riversider service runs from George Square (north) in Glasgow city centre to the SECC, then Riverside Museum and return, every 30 minutes
