Nursing in Practice Yorkshire 2017 Press release

“A great way of networking and meeting likeminded nurses. A good insight into the current topics and refreshing knowledge and skills in practice”

On 19th September 2017, Nursing in Practice travelled to Sheffield to provide local primary care and community nurses with the opportunity to learn new skills in a variety of clinical topics.

This year’s agenda included two streams of sessions each covering numerous clinical areas. With over 10 sessions to choose from our nurses left with valuable knowledge and spent time discovering the innovations to support their practice in our exhibition space.

Highlights included:

  • A session from Patsy Pope, Dementia Specialist, All About Dementia – she explored the treatment options of individual living with dementia.
  • Interactive case studies which addressed the common management considerations and treatment options when dealing with type 2 diabetes.

We have already had fantastic feedback from the event attendees:

“Excellent conference! I left the venue with renewed motivation & enthusiasm for nursing
 in primary care.”

“Really enjoyed the day, very informative and helpful, gave me lots of new perspectives to take away to use in practice”

More information about events at other locations in 2018 can be found at http://www.nursinginpractice-events.co.uk/

Nursing in Practice events are conscious of bringing together the nursing community with key stakeholders from across the healthcare industry, with the event also offering an exhibition alongside the conference.

Leading pharmaceutical companies, charitable organisations and innovative providers were able to discuss the latest cutting-edge medications and showcase their products to the attendees.

Now in their 15th year, Nursing in Practice events are free-to-attend and are designed to support nurses in gaining participatory learning hours, building their knowledge, and helping them stay at the cutting-edge of the latest treatments and guidance.
